Tóm tắt: | Poeta is a Canadian software company established and operating in the field of software outsourcing for sixteen years. The company's projects are entirely for partners and companies outside of Vietnam and are 100% outsourced by a team of software engineers at the Ho Chi Minh branch. In recent years, since the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has noticed a decrease in performance in the development department in Vietnam; most projects have increased implementation time and cost compared to before. Therefore, researching and understanding the causes of that problem to find a solution is a necessary critical at the present time. With the knowledge and data collected, the company's problem was discovered to be low engagement between leaders and employees. Through further investigation of the discovered problem along with related research, the main cause of that problem is disengaging leadership in the development team. Research to find solutions to solve the problem was carried out seriously. There were two optimal solutions that were built in detail to present to the leadership. Finally, the solution is the leadership development program—focus on soft skills of empathy, active listening, and effective communication for leaders—which was selected as the most optimal solution to implement at the present time. Ultimately, a specific executive plan detailing each step for the above solution with feedback from principals is completed for implementation. |
